Customers of TE Services

Public employment and business services i.e. TE Services offer free of charge services for jobseekers, who live in Finland or wish to come to Finland to work.

TE Services are produced by TE Offices as well as by Labour Force Service Centres. Our important cooperation partners include:

  • companies
  • sub-regional business services
  • educational institutions
  • local authorities
  • third sector actors.

How to begin your job search

If you are a citizen of Finland or an EU or EEA Member State and you have online banking codes, a mobile certificate or a smart ID card:

  1. Register as a jobseeker in the E-services portal.

    If you are about to become unemployed, you are laid off or your employment is reduced to a shortened work week, please also rad the following:

  2. You will receive an acknowledgement of reception that will include the information you submitted, the period for which your job search is valid and instructions on how to proceed.
  3. If you are a citizen of Finland and you do not expect any changes to your job search within the 3 next months, you will be asked to complete a service needs assessment online. To ensure your job search remains uninterrupted, respond to the assessment immediately or within 2 workdays of being requested to do so.
    Citizens of other EU and EEA Member States: The TE Office will arrange a time for your service needs assessment.
  4. We will assess your personal service needs based on your answers, factors that predetermine the possibility of employment and the labour market information at our disposal.

  5. On the basis of the service needs assessment, you and the TE Office will draw up an employment plan.

If you do not have online banking codes, a mobile certificate or a smart ID card, or you are not not a citizen of an EU or EEA Member State:

  1. Register as a jobseeker at your TE Office:
    - If you have been a customer previously, you can register via the telephone service.
