The payment of pay subsidy and start-up grant began for periods in 2017

The employment package, which entered into force in the beginning of 2017, has had unexpectedly major effects on our support and payment systems.

Index changes and conversions in start-up grant and pay subsidy decisions were completed in support and payment systems by the end of January, and the payment has begun for periods in 2017.

Index adjustment of pay subsidy and start-up grant based on allowance per day

The basic unemployment allowance pursuant to the Unemployment Security Act decreased from 1 January 2017 due to index adjustment. After the change, the basic unemployment allowance totals EUR 32.40 per day.

Due to the revised daily allowance, the decisions on pay subsidy and start-up grant based on allowance per day, made in the pay subsidy web service before 2015, have been concluded and new ones made from 1 January 2017 on.

  • New decision numbers have been allocated to the new decisions.
  • The new decisions can be searched using the new decision number in the start-up grant payment web service from 1 January 2017 on.
  • Electronic payment applications must be targeted at the new decision number.

The index adjustment does not apply to percentage-based pay subsidies granted since 2015.
