The yearly Vocational Skills Week organized by the European Commission will be held as part of the Finnish Presidency of the Council of the European Union in Helsinki from 14th to 18th of October. Many of the events will be web streamed. The Ministry of Education and Culture is responsible for the organization of the events. The programme with web streaming links:
Finnish Public Employment Services will promote the annual European Vocational Skills Week as part of European wide Employers’ Day of the European Network of Public Employment Services (PES Network). During the week, TE Services will highlight vocational skills and vocational training and education. The themes of the Vocational Skills Week include skills needs in working life, life-long learning, and digitalisation.
The main event of the European Vocational Skills Week will be held in Helsinki as part of Finland’s Presidency of the EU Council. Many other events will also be organised around Europe. On the following web page you will find information about programme organised in Finland (in Finnish):
TE Services will organise informative events for employers, focusing on apprenticeships and training opportunities provided for employee skills updating or new employee recruitment. Events will also be organised for those interested in entrepreneurship and for new entrepreneurs. In addition, visits to potential employer companies will be actively arranged.
